RCN donates 2 computers to Saba Boys and Girls After School Programme

Saba Boys and Girls Scout Afterschool Programme, headed by Teacher Elka Charles, received two computers from Saba’s Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN) on Wednesday afternoon. RCN Director Sybren van Dam, who is currently visiting Saba and St. Eustatius did the honors himself. “I am pleased that the RCN could donate these two used computers in good condition for further use by the children instead of having them destroyed” said Mr. van Dam.

Teacher Elka Charles expressed profound thanks and appreciation explaining that the one computer available for the children to work on is not working.  She promised the children will make good use of the ones received from the RCN. The afterschool programme in the Saba Cultural Building in The  Bottom adjacent to the Edwards Hospital has 45 children registered in its programme.
