Eleven new Roman Catholics confirmed

The Daily Herald writes that 11 young Saba communicants were confirmed during a special confirmation mass Wednesday evening at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in The Bottom. Many proud parishioners, friends and family attended the Mass. Greatly appreciated by many in the community for her dedication in working with local youth; Living Water Community’s Sister Jenni Jennings introduced the 11 candidates. The young individuals followed a two-year preparation programme with the sisters. They were brought forward by their spiritual mentors and following the renewal of their baptismal promises, the laying on of hands and anointing with chrism, the youth were confirmed by the Bishop. Elated with the meaningful event in the youths’ lives, Jennings said Mass was a powerful show “of the energy and potential present in our church.”
