Statia’s Executive Council approved on Wednesday, the publication of the side jobs of the members of the Committee for Financial Supervision for Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. The publication of the additional functions that CFT members Age Bakker, Sybilla Dekker and Hyden Gittens have conforms with the Laws Finances public entities Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. The decision of the Executive Council will be published shortly.
CFT Chairman Bakker has seven additional functions. He is a professor of monetary and banking issues at the Free University of Amsterdam; board member of the Pension Fund Care and Wellbeing (Zorg en Welzijn) and member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Water Board Bank. Bakker is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chairman of the Investment advice committee of the Pension Fund for the hotel and catering industry, member of an advisory committee of the middle and small entrepreneurs association MKB, and a member the Expert Group on Financing for Development of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD.
Gittens, who represents the islands in the committee, has six additional functions. He is a partner at Versant Accountants and Consultants; a partner of Gittens and Partners; member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; member of the Institute Internal Auditors; board member of the General Conference Auditing Service and board member of the Inter-American Division General Conference.
Dekker has the longest list with a total of eleven additional functions. She is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Municipalities Bank; member of the Supervisory Board of Royal Haskoning; an internationally operating engineering and project management consultancy from the Netherlands; and the chairlady of the Supervisory Council of the Dutch Cadastral Office (Kadaster). Dekker also heads the Talent to the Top Task Force and Foundation; is the chairlady of the Supervisory Council of the Dutch Diabetes Fund; chairlady of an advisory committee of the Dutch technical research organisation TNO; chairlady of the Table of Assurance of the Maasvlakte II in Rotterdam; chairlady of the Supervisory Council of the programme Knowledge for Climate; chairlady of the Administrative National Public Transportation Council; and, an advisor to the Constant van Gestel Fund and a Dame at the Maritime Museum.
