CoC Entrepreneurs training program participants received certificates

The Chamber of Commerce & Industry St.Eustatius and Saba together with the European Union funded COSME Programme, had launched a 3 day SME Start and Develop Your Business (SME-SDB) entrepreneurs training program in Saba, which is also implemented to all the other 11 Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs).

On Wednesday, the 8 participants received their certificates with much appreciation and requesting follow-up activity from EU-COSME. The facilitators Mr. Rostam and Mr.Vonk, were also thanked for their contributions.

This SME-SDB Entrepreneurs Training Program is being coordinated and executed by Mr. Drs. Prakaash Rostam, Key Expert SME & Private Sector Development Specialist, as he contracted an international consultant Mr. Micha Vonk to assist him in this much demanded support activity. Entrepreneurs throughout the 12 Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) shout for direct assistance and support in starting their businesses and also even further developing their companies, as the global economic challenges puts them on the operating table. Awareness, skills development, knowledge transfer and sharing information in the most extensive form, have been identified as some of the key success factors for Small Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), especially in the OCTs.

The participants appreciated this initiative with the perspective that there is potential in every sector in Saba and being an entrepreneur is having hope for creating financial stability in their households and still contributing to the development of Saba.
