SXM Airways got flat tire during testing

This morning, Friday, October 19th, the airline SXM Airways was carrying out a test flight. During the third landing, the front tire of the aircraft went flat.

Three pilots and an inspector from the St. Maarten Civil Aviation were aboard the plane at the time. No injuries or damage to the airline occurred during the incident.

An inspection by the plane’s mechanic determined that the incident was not runway related. The crew, the mechanic, and the airport manager, all share the same assessment of this morning’s event and conclude that it was an unfortunate isolated incident.
