Road works in progress in Saba

Today, Tuesday, March 12, HES Construction will commence the construction of a stone wall at the hotel-construction site at Lambert Hassell Road.

To ensure the safety of motorists, Lambert Hassell Road leading to Windwardside from The Bottom and St. John’s will become a one-way street until further notice.

All motorists travelling to Windwardside can make use of this road. Traffic leaving Windwardside in the direction of St. John’s and The Bottom should make use of Over the Peak Road, the Public Entity Saba stated in a pub­lic notice on Monday. Exceptions apply to all emergency services.

On Monday evening, Work Monster relocated its exca­vator from the Hell’s Gate guts to the construction site at Over the Peak.

On Wednesday, March 13, Saba Roads will commence with the widening of Booby Hill Road in Windwardside. This work will start at the properties of Jafet Rodriguez and Steve Hassell. The estimated time of completion is one month, the Public Entity said.

“Motorists are asked to exercise extreme caution when using this road during the time of construction,” it was stated.
