Division of portfolios in new Executive Island Council

The Public Entity Saba on Thursday, April 4, approved and published an Island Decree to assign the functions and to establish the portfolios of the Executive Council following last week’s installation of Commissioners Bruce Zagers and Rolando Wilson.

According to the Island Decree, Island Governor Jonathan Johnson will be in charge of: Civil Status and Registry, and Elections, Personnel Affairs and Organization, Disaster Management, Protocol, and Public Safety and Security.

Commissioner Zagers will have in his portfolio: General Affairs, Finances and Economic Affairs, Education, Planning, Public Works, Constitutional Affairs, Tourism, Water Supply, Harbor, Airport, Communication, Environment and Nature.

Commissioner Wilson will have in his portfolio: Archives, Youth Affairs, Gender Affairs, Cadastre and Land Management, Agriculture, Husbandry and Fisheries, Community Development, Culture and Sports, Energy, Public Housing, Public Health and Hygiene, Telecommunication, Social and Labor Affairs, and European Union Affairs.
